A senior move is a residential move plus pre-move downsizing, estate sorting and destination setup. Movers4You works with the family instead of asking the senior to manage logistics, and has run senior and residential relocations across the GTA and KWC continuously since 2017.
In-home consultation
A 45–60 minute walkthrough at the origin home, with the family or power of attorney attending in person, by phone or by video. Inventory captured room by room. Flat-rate quote in writing, sent by email during business hours (8 AM to 8 PM, 7 days a week).
Sort, downsize and pack
Items pre-tagged moving, donating or disposing with family sign-off. Fragile heirlooms (china, crystal, framed photos, antique clocks) packed in dish-pack cartons and mirror boxes by Movers4You's own crew. Medications and mobility aids kept in a separately labelled tote.
Donation and disposal routing
Donated items routed to local GTA charities (Furniture Bank, Habitat for Humanity ReStore); responsible disposal for everything else. Receipts returned to the family with the final move report.

About 45 minutes, free. One of our planners comes to the house and walks through every room with you, or with the family member you choose. You get a flat price in writing. No charge, no obligation, no pressure.

We sort and pack for you
1–3 days before the move. Our crew sorts what goes, what gets donated and what gets thrown out, and packs the fragile things (dishes, photos, picture frames) in safe boxes. You don't lift anything or wrap anything. Medicines and walking aids stay with you in a separate, labelled bag.

One truck. One crew. Same faces.
Moving day, handled by Movers4You's in-house crew. You can stay with family until the new home is ready, and we send photo updates to your family at each step. No second truck, no strangers, no handoffs.

We set up your new home
Same day, before we leave. The bed is put together and made; the recliner, the TV and the kitchen are set up; towels and toiletries are in the bathroom. Your first night feels like home, not a hotel.

We send the family a final report
After the move: donation receipts from the charities, photos of every finished room, and the final bill, matching the price we quoted you. No surprises.

Yes. Movers4You Inc is insured and has been operating insured since 2017.
Can my parent stay out of the home on move day?
Yes. Most Movers4You senior moves are completed with the senior staying off-site with family until the destination is set up. Movers4You works with the family and provides updates at load, departure, arrival and completion.
Does Movers4You handle donation and disposal of items we are not keeping?
Yes. Movers4You routes donated items to local GTA charities including Furniture Bank and Habitat for Humanity ReStore, and to responsible disposal for anything that cannot be donated. Donation receipts, where issued by the charity, are returned to the family with the final move report.
Will the same crew handle the senior move from start to finish?

How far in advance should we book a senior move?
Book 3–4 weeks ahead when possible, especially for retirement-community move-in dates with strict elevator and dock windows. Do you offer storage between move-out and move-in dates?
Yes. Movers4You operates a heated, alarmed storage facility in the Greater Toronto Area for senior moves where the destination is not ready on the same day as the origin move-out. Items are inventoried in and out, and the same crew brings them out when you're ready.
Can family members outside the GTA coordinate the move remotely?
Yes. Movers4You senior moves are designed for remote family coordination. The in-home consultation can be conducted by video, approvals are handled with the family, and out-of-province children can manage everything by phone and email.
